Sex Study Shows Women Prefer Gay Porn To Straight Porn!

OK, I am going to start this article by saying I’m not homophobic. If guys want to have sex with each other, go right ahead. Still, the sight of two men having sex, to me is pretty disgusting. Not for moral reasons of course, just that men don’t really have bodies that are attractive.

Couple of gays

Women on the other hand look beautiful, so it makes sense watching them engage in lesbian sex. This is why I was so surprised when I read that Pornhub had done a survey which showed that women are more likely to search for gay porn than, rather straight porn.

Pornhub explain their motivations behind the research in their introduction to the data

“By segmenting by gender within our analytics tools, we were able to generate anonymized data that brings us one step closer to answering the time old question: what do women want?”

The survey shows that for women” are fourth on the list of categories most viewed by women. The top three categories women view are “lesbian,” “gay (male)” and “teen.

This is probably, in retrospect, not surprising. Most ‘straight’ porn is highly misogynistic. Maybe women can’t suspend their disbelief in regards to whether women would actually enjoy what was going on?

The survey is as follows.

Where do men and women find common ground? “Big dicks” ranks almost evenly among men and women, while anal, threesome, and ebony are shared interests among the sexes. Still, women are much more interested in watching sex between the same sexes.

When it comes to what women actually searched for before deciding on what to view, “lesbian” triumphed again, followed this time by “threesome” and “squirt.”

Here are the search results.

Now obviously there will be certain sections that women exclusively look for ahead of men. “Pussy licking” and “eating pussy” top the list by quite a bit and “solo male” videos ( guys jerking off) are 132 percent more popular with women.

Here are the search discrepancy findings.

So what is this survey telling us? What stands out is that ‘women friendly’ porn is not hitting iut’s target audience. For those who don’t know, this genre portray’s an emotional connection and mutual pleasure in order to appeal to women’s desires.

Dr. Meredith Chivers, the Queens University professor who conducted the research, told the New York Times that it doesn’t matter who is having sex, but how sensual they appear as they are going at it

“Women physically don’t seem to differentiate between genders in their sex responses, at least heterosexual women don’t,” Chivers said. “For heterosexual women, gender didn’t matter. They responded to the level of activity.”

The attention towards gay male porn may reflect the same dis-interest to the choreographed, messy heterosexual encounters. These are usually directed by men, for men. Where there’s no women, there’s no exploitative sexism.

What this whole thing does go to show is that the porn industry is moving away from just catering for males, and is actually accepting that women are sexual beings who are willing to pay good money for their own pleasure. What is the point in disenfranchising half of the population?

Are there any women out there who watch porn? Do you agree with the survey? Let us know in the comments section below
