Sex Study Claims Sex Makes You Smarter!

We all know that there are some fantastic benefits to having sex. To start with, it feels greats. You get to enjoy some intense pleasure with someone, and afterwards you’re left feeling incredible. It can really boost your mood when you’re feeling low, can fight off depression, and help you de-stress when you’ve been having one of those weeks at work. Every sex study released gives us more and more reasons and excuses to be fucking for the sake of our health.

The latest sex study is saying something that we might not have expected, but it is definitely the excuse we need to be having regular sex. The study claims that fucking and having sex can actually help to make you smarter. This, they say, can actually help you fight against mental health problems and can prevent things like dementia from setting in. It sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it? Well, here on the Escort Norway blog we take a look at what the sex study has discovered, what it means for our bedroom fun, and how having sex can make you smarter.

Why this sex study?

People don’t just conduct sex studies for the sake of it. You might think it works that way sometimes, but there is usually a reason behind it. With this sex study, those behind the study were eager to see if there was a connection between sexual activity and the cognitive functions of the brain as you get older.

The study, conducted by Coventry University, began as they believed “the relationship between cognition and sexual activity in healthy older adults is under-researched”, and so they wanted to see if there was a connection between intelligence and the amount of sex we are having.

Studies throughout the years have said that sex can be good for us. It can really boost your mood, making you feel happier, and this fun and regular exercise makes you feel healthier too. Okay, so a quick fuck under the sheets isn’t going to replace your cardio workout at the gym, but it is a good way to get your heart racing at home. Because your heart is racing, it can help with high blood pressure, headaches, and stress. In other words, sex is pretty much the perfect medicine.

Testing the theory

Since the “limited amount of research in this area” had already suggested “that sexual activity is associated with better cognition in older men”, the University wanted to test this further. They wanted to see if there really was a connection, or if it was simply a coincidence that those with active sex lives were better with the mental challenges placed before them.

The 6,800 participants of the study, aged between 50 and 89, were given two main tasks to complete to test this. The first focused on word recall, which they say “relates to memory”, while the second challenge looked at number sequencing and patterns.

Before they were given the tasks, the participants talked to the researchers about their lives. They looked at a huge range of things, such as age, education, and self-rated health, but the focus was on how often they had sex. Those with an active sex life were put into one group, while those without it were put into another.

The main aim was to see if there was a significant difference between the two groups when they had taken the other factors into account, and so the test began.

The results are in! Sex makes you smarter!

There had only been a few studies that suggested there was a connection between how smart you were and how active your sex life was, but this sex study has proven that, not only is there a connection, but that connection is a positive one.

The men with active sex lives actually scored 23% higher on the cognitive word test than those who weren’t regularly having sex. There was also a slight difference in the results of the numbers puzzle, with the active men scoring roughly 3% higher than those who weren’t fucking on a regular basis.

This is great news for you dirty minded men out there, as you can have sex to help keep your brain happy and healthy, but what about the women in the study? Did this sex study prove that sex is just as good for women as it is for men?

Well, not quite. While they found that women having regular sex scored better on the cognitive word test, they found that there wasn’t a significant difference between the results of the numbers test. However, these results are still promising, as sex can still have a positive impact on your brain.

What do the results even mean?

So, people who were having regular sex when they took this survey seemed to score higher on the different tests that were put before them. This suggests that sex is good for your brain, but why would that be the case?

The researchers believe that it is because of the hormones released in your body when you have sex. They said that “sex hormones, like dopamine, are linked to the brain’s reward centre and help cognitive function”. Basically, having regular sex can help keep things running smoothly in your head.

So, sex can make you happier and healthier if you have it regularly. This is great news to us, but what do you think about this study? Do you want to know more about what the study says, or have you got some other ideas you want to talk about? The Escort Norway forum is the perfect place to go to talk about your ideas, as you’ll find a growing community to talk to.

You could even simply leave a comment in the box below to tell us what you think. Is sex really as good for you as we believe, or is it a load of rubbish to make us think that we should be fucking more? We want to hear from you.
